On November 4, we held our 20th Anniversary benefit event and Inaugural Canes Film Festival at 1544 Broadway in downtown Oakland. The event featured the work of our outstanding Summer Interns along with additional public service announcements and amusing shorts with an orthopedic bent.
For the past 20 years, JOF has served the East Bay community through musculoskeletal research, education and patient outreach. The early-evening reception and program celebrated our many achievements and offered the opportunity for our guests to meet several of the student interns and other colleagues, and to learn about our work.
Proceeds from JOF’s 20th Anniversary & Inaugural Canes Film Festival benefit event fund scholarships to students participating in our Summer Intern Program, our Orthopedic Primary Care course and other educational workshops and presentations. It also enables us to continue our research and complete other outreach in musculoskeletal education and care.
Partnerships in this event make a tremendous difference toward improving the lives of people with orthopedic conditions. Click here to learn more about sponsorship.
By making a tax-deductible contribution to the event--either by attending or as a sponsor--you help support one or more of our main programs or provide scholarships. You’ll find more information about sponsorship opportunities here.
