Thursday, 3/22, 1-4 p.m.: Musculoskeletal Injections in Primary Care: Lower Extremity (K Geier, AJ Benham) Review of the most common musculoskeletal knee and hip conditions encountered in primary care that can be addressed by corticosteroid injections.
Saturday, 3/24, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Upper Extremity Injection Workshop (K Geier, AJ Benham) Providing research-based content and hands-on practice in administering corticosteroid injections, using anatomical models.
Saturday, 3/24, 2:30-3:45 p.m.: The Painful Hip Part I: Evaluation (K Geier, AJ Benham) Presentation of a clinical evaluation of hip anatomy and physical examination, and how they relate to common causes of hip pain.
Saturday, 3/24, 4-5:15 pm: The Painful Hip Part II: Common Acute & Chronic Disorders (K Geier) Presentation of common acute and chronic disorders in hip conditions seen in primary care and their imaging, treatment and referral options.
Sunday, 3/25, 8:45-10 a.m.: The Painful Knee, Part I: Clinical Evaluation (AJ Benham) Review of helpful historical clues, anatomical underpinnings, and specialized exam techniques for evaluating painful knees in primary care.
Sunday, 3/25, 10:15-11:30 a.m.: The Painful Knee, Part II: Common Acute & Chronic Conditions (AJ Benham) Exploration of some common perpetrators of knee pain, including mechanisms of injury, common signs and symptoms, physical findings, and treatment and rehabilitation guidelines.
