We’re still feeling the warmth and joy from the 7th Annual Canes Gala, and we can’t thank you enough for being part of this special event. Whether you joined us in person, sponsored the event, or participated in the online silent auction, your support has touched our hearts and reminded us why we do what we do. Watch the event program on YouTube An afternoon to remember On December 8, Creekside Commons in Lafayette, California came alive with laughter, conversation, and stories of impact. Surrounded by friends, colleagues, and supporters like you, we celebrated the progress we’ve made together in improving musculoskeletal (MSK) health for patients and clinicians. Highlights of the day included presentations by founding instructors Kathleen Geier, DNP and AJ Behnam, DNP on both the past and future of our Orthopedic Primary Care program. Also speaking were Healthcare Immersion Program (HIP) coordinators Roxie Wiblin and Sonal Mehta, who shared their students' 2024 projects with the audience - a series of patient-focused musculoskeletal brochures. The JOF team also announced the creation of the Kathleen A. Geier Scholarship fund for HIP students to honor Dr. Geier's long service to JOF and the musculoskeletal health profession. The scholarship will be rolled out in 2025. Gratitude for our sponsors and donors We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the incredible sponsors who made this event possible:
Their generosity helps ensure that clinicians receive the critical training they need to care for patients with confidence, dignity, and expertise. To everyone who supported us — whether you bid in the auction, attended the event, or cheered us on from afar, you’ve helped us move closer to a future where every musculoskeletal patient receives the care they deserve. Couldn't join us? You can still help! If you weren’t able to attend, we invite you to make a difference in another way. As the year comes to a close, please consider:
From all of us—the Board of Directors, event volunteers, and the entire Jackson Orthopedic Foundation team—thank you for being part of our community. You're helping us empower clinicians with essential nonsurgical skills, bridging critical knowledge gaps in musculoskeletal care. Every clinician trained is a pebble in a pond, creating ripples that positively impact countless patients nationwide.
With heartfelt gratitude, The Jackson Orthopedic Foundation Team Comments are closed.
