We’re thrilled to welcome the 2025 cohort of Jackson Orthopedic Foundation’s Healthcare Immersion Program (HIP) – a diverse and driven group of students who are passionate about finding a professional path in healthcare. During the four-week program, which began July 7, our students are shadowing clinical preceptors in a variety of clinical environments to learn first-hand about how healthcare providers in different settings contribute to musculoskeletal health in our communities. Meet our students Please join us in welcoming our 2025 HIP students. We can’t wait to see how they grow during their time with us – and how they’ll shape the future of musculoskeletal care:
Thanks to our coordinators!A special thank-you goes to our dedicated program coordinators, Rachel Chen and Sheila Teker. Both are alumni of the HIP program themselves, and they bring incredible insight, empathy, and energy to their leadership. Their guidance and mentorship make this immersive learning experience even more impactful. About the programOne of JOF's most popular programs, the Healthcare Immersion Program (HIP) is a flexible, month-long summer experience for college students exploring careers in healthcare. Participants shadow experienced San Francisco Bay Area providers and attend weekly clinical conferences – logging 80 to 100 hours of real-world exposure. Designed to accommodate jobs or summer classes, schedules are tailored to each student. The program is open to those with at least one year of college and an interest in healthcare. We’re honored to support this next generation of healthcare leaders – and inspired by their dedication to compassionate, evidence-based care.
If you'd like to support our HIP students and the program - including funding future scholarships for students in financial need, please consider making a donation. Comments are closed.
