Orthopalooza

A fast, practical way to build MSK skills and confidence

Orthopalooza is Jackson Orthopedic Foundation’s hybrid musculoskeletal training program, combining concise online learning with a focused, hands-on, in-person workshop (16 CE hours). Workshops are currently held in Lafayette, California, with more locations to come.

Designed for efficiency and convenience, Orthopalooza helps clinicians build new MSK skills and confidence while preserving the value of supervised practice and peer learning.
To make participation as convenient as possible, Orthopalooza begins with 10 hours of self-paced online coursework that provides a concise clinical foundation. This is followed by a one-day, Saturday, in-person workshop centered on hands-on skill development. The in-person experience emphasizes active practice, small-group learning, and guidance from experienced faculty.

Who Orthopalooza is for

Picture
Orthopalooza is designed for nurse practitioners and other advanced practice providers who want a practical, time-efficient way to strengthen their skills in managing common musculoskeletal conditions.

It is well suited for clinicians who regularly see MSK complaints and want tools they can apply immediately in primary care and outpatient settings.

What you'll gain

Participants complete Orthopalooza with greater confidence in MSK assessment, clearer diagnostic reasoning, and supervised practice of physical exam techniques, imaging decisions, and injections. The program is structured to support safe, appropriate use of these skills within the scope of practice.

Clinicians who complete both the online and in-person components earn a total of 16 nationally recognized continuing education credits.

Workshop schedule

While the online portion of the course can be taken at any time, our Orthopalooza workshops are scheduled quarterly. Our next Orthopalooza workshop is Saturday, April 25 2026.
