Meet our donors

Partners in education, care, and community

Our donors are clinicians, educators, patients, families, and supporters who believe deeply in the power of education to improve lives. They give not only because musculoskeletal care matters, but because they trust how Jackson Orthopedic Foundation turns learning into better care, stronger confidence, and meaningful opportunity.

For many of our donors, supporting JOF is personal. It reflects professional respect, shared values, and a belief that investing in clinicians and students is one of the most effective ways to improve patient outcomes. Their generosity sustains our programs and strengthens a community built on collaboration, mentorship, and care.

Below are a few of the individuals and families whose support helps make our work possible.

"What a gift to me as a clinician"
Melissa Allen
Nurse Practitioner, LifeLong Medical Care
JOF Donor and Healthcare Immersion Program Preceptor

As a nurse practitioner, Melissa understands how essential musculoskeletal care is to keeping patients healthy and active. She has personally benefited from JOF’s research-driven education and hands-on workshops, and has supported the organization as both a donor and a HIP clinical preceptor.

For Melissa, giving back is a way to strengthen the profession while helping the next generation of clinicians grow.

"I have a warm, fuzzy feeling about them"
Judy Riffle and Roxie Wiblin
JOF Donors and Healthcare Immersion Program Alum Family

Judy’s first connection to JOF came as a patient model in a teaching clinic. That experience led her to support Canes events, donate regularly, and encourage her daughter, Roxie, to apply to the Healthcare Immersion Program. Roxie’s participation opened her eyes to the full spectrum of healthcare careers and helped shape her future path in medicine. For Judy, supporting JOF means investing locally, supporting education she can see in action, and being part of something that truly works.

“I know and trust their work.”
Cecily Reeves, PhD, FNP-C, PA (Emeritus)
Professor Emeritus, Samuel Merritt University
Longtime JOF Donor

A veteran clinician and educator, Dr. Reeves is selective about where she gives. She supports JOF because she believes deeply in its rigor, integrity, and impact. As a former NP program director and longtime academic leader, she sees JOF’s education as essential in addressing real gaps in clinical training, especially as healthcare education evolves.

Donating allows her to stay connected and make a difference, even when time is limited.
