Our quarterly Orthopalooza 2-Day clinical skills Workshops offer a fast-paced opportunity to practice skills needed to confidently manage MSK conditions in primary care.

Each nationally accredited workshop (15 hours) emphasizes active learning through the use of case studies, demonstrations, models, and guided practice of focused physical examination skills.

Workshops are held in Lafayette, California. Price is $250 (or included with our hybrid courses). CEs earned are valid in any state.

About Orthopalooza Workshops

Orthopalooza two-day workshops offer a fun and fast-paced opportunity to practice skills needed for you to confidently manage muscle, bone and joint conditions in primary care. The Orthopalooza approach emphasizes active learning through the use of case studies, demonstrations, models, along with guided practice of focused physical examination and joint injection skills.

Orthopalooza is part of our Orthopedic Primary Care (OPC) curriculum, a suite of online, live and hybrid courses and workshops.

2025-2026 workshop dates and tuition

​​Each Orthopalooza Workshop (15 CE hours) focuses on one aspect of assessing and treating common  MSK conditions patients present with in primary care settings. Workshop content is repeated sequentially each year:

Spring 2025: Lower Extremity (April 11-12)
Summer 2025: Upper Extremity (July 18-19)
Fall 2025: Spine & Metabolic Conditions (October 3-4)
Winter 2026: MSK Fundamentals (January, dates to be announced)

​Price of each 2-day workshop is $250​ (or free to those enrolled in our same-topic hybrid courses). Workshops are held at Creekside Commons in Lafayette, California.*

​​Scholarships for some programs are available through our 
Dolores Beanland Nursing Scholarship Fund.

Please note: While we are excited to welcome you to Orthopalooza, we kindly recommend waiting until one month prior to the event to finalize travel arrangements - and/or booking refundable/flexible arrangements if possible.

Day 1 of this workshop provides a broad overview of basic principles for diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions, with Day 2 emphasizing joint injections. Sample agenda
​Day 1 of Lower Extremity Orthopalooza will help you develop the skills to confidently assess and treat common disorders of the hip, knee, ankle, and foot. Relevant joint and soft tissue injections are covered on Day 2.​  Sample agenda​​
