Corticosteroid injections can be a useful adjunct to the treatments employed in managing these conditions. They are most effective when combined with other pharmacologic and rehabilitation measures, such as the administration of NSAIDs, stretching, ice, heat, etc. They are also a relatively safe procedure and can be managed by a variety of clinicians.
