Hi friends, it time to book some CE hours for spring and summer? With chronic and acute muscle, bone and joint conditions affecting up to half of your patients, why not consider Jackson Orthopedic Foundation's suite of Orthopedic Primary Care courses and skills workshops?
Good for your patients, your practice and your career, our courses and workshops are ideal for nurse practitioners and clinical nurse specialists. They're also great for physicians and other APPs.
Education is a key focus for us at JOF -- and it was a great experience to finally be in person again with friends and colleagues at the California Association for Nurse Practitioners 44th Annual Educational Conference in Pasadena.
It was a lively event filled with learning and networking -- including presentations on menopause and foot and ankle pain by our instructors Kathleen Geier, DNP and A.J. Benham, DNP
While the headlines have been full of COVID and the election of late, there’s one story that will likely stand out to California nurse practitioners: AB 890.
Assembly Bill 890 was signed into law by Gov. Gavin Newsom on September 29 and makes California the 23rd state in the U.S. to offer Full Practice Authority (FPA) to NPs. It goes into effect in January 2023, with implementation details to be developed over the next two years. |
