Are you -- or is a college student you know -- considering a career in healthcare? Check out our Healthcare Immersion Program, a unique summer experience to explore various health fields while shadowing experienced providers as they treat patients.
Applications are now open for our 2022 program, which runs July 11-August 5. Applications are due Friday, June 17. About the program
Each summer our Healthcare Immersion Program provides college students with a unique opportunity to explore various health careers close-up.
Whether you’re interested in becoming a nurse, a physician, a physician assistant, or a physical or occupational therapist, this program allows each student the chance to witness the unique aspects of each professional role. Prerequisites for the program include an interest in a career in the medical field and one completed year of college education. The cost of the program is $500 per student. Applicants may apply for a program scholarship based on financial need. This year, our program coordinator will be Maggie Macy, an Oakland-based home health nurse and former HIP program coordinator and student. Comments are closed.
